BLACK MALE STUDENT DENIES “RAPE CULTURE” AT RICH WHITE COLLEGE
Jeremiah True is a 19-year-old student at Portland’s tony and exclusive Reed College, a mossy enclave stuffed to the rafters with privileged whites who can”t shut the hell up about “white privilege.” According to True, he was recently banned from a class for questioning the popular narrative that we live in a “rape culture” where one in five women gets raped during their time at college.
True speaks the truth. Rather than endorsing or celebrating rape, our culture is uniformly horrified about rape, and the “one in five” stat is transparently false”according to an exhaustive 2014 study by the Department of Justice, it’s more like six out of 1,000 female college students in any given school year.
True also told the campus publication Reed Quest:
I believe that I am an emotionally capable, intellectually gifted, cutting wit, hell of a person. I believe I have experienced more trauma and suffering and pain in my life than many of these, well frankly, middle class white girls at Reed could ever know in their lives.
It’s mildly refreshing to see a black male employ the “progressive stack“ concept against sheltered white girls almost as if it were a wrestling move. It allows us, even for a split second, to ignore the fact that nearly all interracial rape in America is black-on-white.
MICHELLE OBAMA’s MOM: “I WORRY ABOUT RACES MIXING”
A new biography about Michelle Obama excavates a decade-old TV interview with her mother, Marion Robinson, in which Ms. Robinson told a Chicago reporter that she was worried to learn that her daughter intended to marry a mulatto half-breed named Barack:
That didn”t concern me as much as had he been completely white. [laughs] I guess that I worry about races mixing because of the difficulty”not for, so much for prejudice or anything. It’s just very hard.
Ms. Robinson, you are not alone in your concern.
