GEORGE ZIMMERMAN TO THE RESCUE
America’s portliest pariah reportedly helped extricate a family from their overturned vehicle less than a mile from where he shot and killed Trayvon Martin. Despite his legal exoneration and apparent act of heroism, the lynch-mob bloodlust toward Zimmerman is still so strong that the family allegedly declined to hold a press conference to thank him because they feared being targeted themselves.

Reinforcing negative (if well-documented) stereotypes about being the worst tippers on Earth, some presumably black restaurant patrons in Florida reportedly left a scolding note for their server instead of a tip claiming that they would not compensate low-paid service-industry workers who had nothing to do with the Zimmerman verdict until Trayvon Martin got justice.

In a case mirroring the Zimmerman/Martin saga except for the fact that the shooter is actually white, 33-year-old Merritt Landry reportedly shot a 14-year-old black male who had scaled a locked fence onto his property at 2AM. The case will likely receive national attention and become a test for Louisiana’s Castle statutes, the Bayou State’s version of Florida’s Stand Your Ground law.

CIVIL RIGHTS AND WRONGS
A group of ten disqualified American Idol contestants, all of them black, are suing the show for racial discrimination and seeking damages of $25 million each, which is likely far more than they would have made if they’d won the competition. Their lawyer claims the show’s producers used “destructive stereotypes” that depict blacks as “violent criminals, liars and sexual deviants” to disqualify them. Three of American Idol‘s eleven total winners have been black.

Italian nationalists threw bananas at Italy’s Congo-born Integration Minister Cecile Kyenge during a speaking engagement. Earlier in July an Italian parliamentarian compared Kyenge to an orangutan.

In Mississippi, a white teenager and his father are claiming that a group of 15 or so black males beat him unconscious in a dispute over stolen bicycles. In a separate incident, the same group of “youths” allegedly approached the family during a barbecue while wielding baseball bats and knives. Don’t expect the national press to make a peep about this case.

After “intensive medical examinations” that included X-rays seeking to discover a hidden microchip, Turkish authorities have cleared a kestrel of all suspicions of being an Israeli spy after villagers handed the bird over to authorities to determine whether it was a Zionist agent.
