OBAMA: BLACKS HAVE IT BETTER UNDER HIS REIGN
Like nearly everything that issues from his mouth, Barack Obama recently made two comments that are easily blasted to smithereens by the facts.

During an interview with NPR on December 18, Obama was asked whether there was currently more racial division in the US than when he took office. His reply:

No. I actually think that it’s probably, in its day-to-day interactions, less racially divided.

Americans, black and white, disagree. A Bloomberg poll released earlier this month found that 53% of Americans feel that race relations have worsened during Obama’s presidency, while a piddling 9% say they have improved. A recent NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll found that 58% of whites and 63% of blacks rated the country’s race relations as “bad.” A recent Gallup poll found that 13% of Americans named “€œrace relations”€ or “€œracism”€ as the country’s most important problem, a quotient unseen since 1992’s Rodney King verdict.

On December 19th during the year’s final press conference, Obama burped up the following bold statement:

Like the rest of America, black America, in the aggregate, is better off now than it was when I came into office.

The facts paint a different picture:

“€¢ Black home-ownership rates are 6% lower now than in 2009.
“€¢ The black workforce, in aggregate, decreased 10% from 2007 to 2012.
“€¢ The quotient of blacks living in poverty has increased 5% during his reign.
“€¢ In constant dollars, black income has dipped 4.5% during his presidency.
“€¢ Blacks”€™ median net worth plummeted 34% during the “€œObama recovery”€ from 2010-2013.
“€¢ The number of blacks on food stamps has skyrocketed 48% with Obama as president.

Miraculously, Obama retains an 84% approval rating among blacks, which we must all assume has absolutely nothing to do with his skin color.

GAY AND TRANSGENDER SUICIDE RATES: OVER THE RAINBOW
A recent study of gay and bisexual teens in Colorado reveals that nearly half of them had contemplated suicide in the previous year. This rate is roughly four times higher than that among straight teens. This mirrors quotients found among American teens in a study released earlier this year, which concluded that gay and bisexual teens are four times likelier to attempt suicide.

Another recent study found that transgendered veterans are much likelier to commit suicide than veterans who are OK with the genitals that nature gave them. This reflects another study from earlier in the year that concluded that transsexuals are about 10 times likelier to commit suicide than those who correctly correlate their “€œgender”€ with their biological equipment.

Of course, the takeaway from all this must under no circumstances be that gay and transgendered individuals are uncomfortable with their identity and prone to lethal bouts of self-loathing over it. In fact, they have no agency over making such drastic decisions, for as we all know, it is society that pushes them to kill themselves.
