MUSLIM ARTIST PAINTS “COEXIST” MURAL, REPORTEDLY GETS BEATEN BY MUSLIMS
The instantly recognizable “COEXIST“ logo”which incorporates an Islamic crescent as its “C,” the Star of David as its “X,” and a Christian cross as its “T””is a stellar emblem of universalist delusion, attempting as it does to bind together three dogmas whose fundamental doctrines are not only incompatible with one another, they are mutually exclusive if not outright hostile.
A Muslim graffiti artist in Paris recently learned this the hard way.
Known by his street name of “Combo,” the serial vandal describes his art as “disruptive.” He once painted signs in Lebanon that said “Less Hamas, more hummus” and describes what he’s doing not as jihad, but as “ji-art.”
As if those actions alone weren”t sufficiently punishable, Combo recently posted a mural in Paris that featured a photo of him in Muslim garb next to the COEXIST logo. He claims a group of four males”he refuses to identify them, although they were reportedly Muslims”accosted him and demanded he take the mural down. He says when he refused, they “left him bleeding” with bruises all over his face and a dislocated right shoulder.
It may be time to consider that this whole “coexistence” thing may be a wee bit naïve.
ANTI-RELIGIOUS HATRED (OR MAYBE A PARKING DISPUTE) KILLS THREE MUSLIMS IN NORTH CAROLINA
Depending on whom you ask, 46-year-old North Carolinian Craig Hicks”who has been known to pose for photographs perched atop an ATV while wearing a wacky, NASCAR-styled jumpsuit“either killed three Muslim neighbors last week because they were Muslims or because of a parking dispute.
And hey, let’s face it”if there’s a topic that can inflame passion, outrage, and even wanton violence like religion does, it would be parking.
According to reports, Hicks made his political preferences clear: On his Facebook page, he “Likes” the Southern Poverty Law Center, Rachel Maddow, the Freedom From Religion Foundation, and famed Negro scientist Neil deGrasse Tyson. He also supports gay-marriage groups and anti-Tea Party groups. But none of this stopped the usual suspects from blaming his alleged rampage on the GOP and Fox News.
Online, Hicks had aimed his harshest vociferations at religion:
I give your religion as much respect as your religion gives me. There’s nothing complicated about it, and I have every right to insult a religion that goes out of its way to insult, to judge, and to condemn me as an inadequate human being “ which your religion does with self-righteous gusto….When it comes to insults, your religion started this, not me. If your religion kept its big mouth shut, so would I. But given that it doesn”t, and given the enormous harm that your religion has done in this world, I”d say that I have not only a right, but a duty, to insult it, as does every rational, thinking person on this planet….People say nothing can solve the Middle East problem. Not mediation, not arms, not financial aid. I say there is something. Atheism.
Muslim activists, as well as one of the victims” fathers, insist that Hicks blew away the not-so-merry trio of Muslims because he was afflicted with a murderous case of religious bigotry. Hicks’s wife and the local police are siding with the “parking dispute gone awry” narrative.
Those who chose to view it as an anti-Muslim hate crime created the Twitter hashtag “MuslimLivesMatter,” which was inspired by the “BlackLivesMatter” hashtag that spread in the wake of highly publicized police shootings of allegedly “unarmed” black males who, if you scrutinize the available evidence, both had two fully functional arms they”d been using to resist arrest.
If black lives matter and Muslim lives matter, one would imagine that black Muslims” lives matter a whole bunch.
SHIRLEY MACLAINE’s KARMIC THEORY OF THE HOLOCAUST
Shirley MacLaine is an octogenarian actress who believes in reincarnation and unidentified flying objects. In late 2013 she published a book called What If…: A Lifetime of Questions, Speculations, Reasonable Guesses, and a Few Things I Know for Sure. Among such “Speculations” is whether world-famous crippled physicist Stephen Hawking had “chosen to live in a dual state of being: visibly physical weakness and unseen knowledge and power. What if all of reality is an illusion?”
Do we even need to speculate whether all of Shirley MacLaine’s reality is an illusion?
Although the book is over a year old, it has taken this long for the Community Security Trust, which the Hollywood Reporter describes as “a group campaigning against anti-Semitism,” to make a stink about one passage in the book that, as luck would have it, involves Jews.
MacLaine’s offending passage:
What if most Holocaust victims were balancing their karma from ages before, when they were Roman soldiers putting Christians to death, the Crusaders who murdered millions in the name of Christianity, soldiers with Hannibal, or those who stormed across the Near East with Alexander?
The energy of killing is endless and will be experienced by the killer and the killee.
Deep thoughts, Shirley. Deep, deep thoughts. So deep, one has trouble imagining how you”d ever make it back up to the surface again after thinking them.
Even though MacLaine’s metaphysical perambulations were clearly speculative, that didn”t stop much of the media from alleging that she”d flat-out claimed that Holocaust victims brought it all on themselves. One must never claim such a thing, which is why even if you don”t claim it, you will be accused of claiming it anyway.
