Sgt. Alexander Blackman

The cruel absurdity of this prosecution becomes clearer if you play out the counterfactual. Suppose Sgt. Blackman, instead of offing the Taliban (with a quip from Shakespeare: “Shuffle off this mortal coil, you cunt”) had administered first aid. The Taliban, though very badly hurt by cannon fire from a helicopter gunship, might then have recovered.

And then…what? Captured Taliban members are handed over to the Afghan authorities for trial and sentencing. Given that a 2012 NATO report on the fighting “abounds with accounts of cooperation between the insurgents and local government officials or security forces””€”and noting in passing, with regard to Sgt. Blackman’s sentence, that 15 years for planting IEDs is “an extremely long sentence by Afghan standards””€”captured Taliban fighters probably anticipate their handover with good cheer.

The war itself is, of course, perfectly pointless. Sgt. Blackman’s 23 comrades died to no purpose, as he is surely intelligent enough to know, while the repulsive rodent who sent them there takes a break from harvesting six-figure speaking fees to pose with his sad face at the memorial service for that other maker of IEDs, Nelson Mandela. You want spleen? I got spleen.

That’s the war in Afghanistan I”€™m talking about there. The other war, the one our elites really care about”€”the war in which Sgt. Blackman’s prosecution has been a minor skirmish”€”is going swell. That would be the war against heterosexual white males, especially those of a military inclination.

Had Sgt. Blackman been a black man, or homosexual, or a woman, this incident would have been swept under the rug. But then, he would not likely have been in 3 Commando. Britain’s special forces, like ours, are overwhelmingly white, as blacks mostly gravitate to the three-hots-and-a-cot service jobs. Homosexuals are made very seriously unwelcome. Women can”€™t meet the physical standards.

How will it all end, this modern insanity of “diversity,” “human rights,” and futile missionary wars for the propagation of Cultural Marxism? Probably as Kipling tells us: 

For the hate they had taught through the State brought the State no defender,
And it passed from the roll of the Nations in headlong surrender!
