This week marks the first anniversary of Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, a war not currently going terribly well in terms of actual physical territorial conquest, so which now increasingly has to be portrayed as a battle for something else rather less tangible instead—the continued existence of the sacred Slavic soul. In Russian media, this delicate entity is portrayed as being under constant attack itself, from malign moral forces emanating from the degenerate, woke-ridden West, often characterized as actively satanic in nature. Is Putin right?

A recent Russian propaganda video was intended to dissuade native citizens from fleeing abroad to escape economic sanctions imposed in the wake of Putin’s invasion, showing a middle-aged couple and their child on a flight out of Moscow toward asylum in the USA. The debased Western whore in the seat in front welcomes them toward the famous “Land of the Free,” before introducing them to her husband—a woman named Emily, who uses male pronouns.

The Russian husband soon needs the toilet, but finds a random black man barging to the front of the line, only to be informed that this morally superior being must be allowed to empty out his own brown bowels first as a form of belated fecal reparations for the historical sins of slavery; inevitably, the White Russian is forced to take the knee by the Black American. Several further woke misadventures ensue before the entire family finally don lifejackets and bail out mid-Atlantic, to swim away from this wonderful Western “freedom” back toward the welcoming embrace of Mother Russia.

“Official Russian military doctrine views gay rights in particular as a sinister NATO psy-ops weapon, intended to destabilize and rot Russia from within.”

Okay, that’s all a little exaggerated—only one or two of these things would happen on the average transatlantic flight into the U.S. these days, not all of them at once—but it does contain much truth about life in the “Free World” today, as many actual Westerners quickly recognized. Below-the-line comments on YouTube are overwhelmingly of the “Nice short documentary” or “It’s not propaganda when it’s true” kind, and yet when it came to traditional Western-media reporting of the video, the write-ups were rather different. The Scottish Daily Express, which broke the story, spoke disingenuously of a “crazy Russian propaganda ad” in its headline, complaining of people being “baffled by its bizarre content.” I wasn’t baffled. Were you?

Go East—Life Is Straighter There
In a speech of 24 February 2022 announcing the start of his “special military operation” (re: brutal war of conquest), Putin partially framed his imperialist adventure as a defensive act, saying NATO nations had long “sought to destroy our traditional values and force on us their false values that would erode us [and] our people from within, the attitudes they have been aggressively imposing on their [own] countries, attitudes that are directly leading to degradation and degeneration, because they are contrary to human nature”—attitudes of the precise kind later seen aboard his own propaganda ad’s imaginary airplane.

In another October 2021 speech, Putin had already denounced Western nations’ attempts to engineer a BLM-type system of “reverse discrimination against the majority in the interests of a minority,” before bemoaning the replacement of terms like “mother” and “breast milk” with “birthing parent” and “human milk” in the name of transgender dogma, together with some “truly monstrous” ideas like teachers encouraging toddlers to switch their genitals around at will like mix-’n’-match Barbie and Ken dolls. For Putin, Russia had already undergone such an enforced Cultural Revolution, when Lenin’s Marxists seized power in 1917:

The advocates of so-called “social progress” believe they are introducing humanity to some kind of a new and better consciousness…[but] Russia has been there already. After the 1917 revolution, the Bolsheviks…also said they would change existing ways and customs, and not just political and economic ones, but the very notion of human morality and the foundations of a healthy society. The destruction of age-old values, religion, and relations between people, up to and including the total rejection of family…all this was proclaimed progress.

Putin said today’s equally “progressive” West “had the right” to emulate the Leninists if they wanted, but that any country bent on committing civilizational suicide who tried to make other lands jump off a cliff alongside them was little more than the geopolitical equivalent of the Reverend Jim Jones. Russia, politely leaving the West alone to swig whatever particular diversity-flavored Kool-Aid it saw fit, “would like to ask them to keep out of our business.” The trouble was, Putin implied, the Western powers of America and “Gay Europawouldn’t leave Russia and her neighbors alone, so had to be resisted by whatever means necessary.

Official Russian military doctrine views gay rights in particular as a sinister NATO psy-ops weapon, intended to destabilize and rot Russia from within. By expanding its woke dogmas into neighboring nations like Ukraine via NGOs and Hollywood, NATO aims ultimately to infect Moscow with this queer soul-AIDS, too, penetrating the sleeping Fatherland through its vulnerable rear. Various Western-backed “color revolutions” in the region, like Georgia’s Rose Revolution of 2003 and Ukraine’s own Orange Revolution of 2004, were interpreted as partly fueled by militant homosexuals eager to transform their own Eurasian homelands into giant Slavic Super-San Franciscos, with Putinist media warning citizens of a potential Washington-backed “gay revolution” even in Russia itself. NATO’s next color revolution was scheduled to be Pink.

Parading One’s Virtue
Following Putin’s 2022 annexation of the long-disputed eastern Ukrainian region of Donbas, where de facto on-off civil war had been raging since 2014, Patriarch Kirill, leader of the Russian Orthodox Church, warned as following:

For eight years there have been [gay Western] attempts to destroy what exists in Donbas…. There is a specific test of loyalty to these powers, a requirement for being permitted into the happy world of excessive consuming and apparent freedom. This test is very straightforward and at the same time horrifying—the gay parade. The demand to organize a gay parade is a test of loyalty to this powerful world. And we know that if a people or a country refuses this test, they are not considered part of that world, they are considered as aliens to it.

Is Kirill just scaremongering here? Judge for yourself. In May 2021, America’s official foreign-aid body USAID put out the following tweet, in English and Ukrainian, boasting of their sponsorship (with your tax dollars) of the Gay Pride march “KyivPride,” which they were expanding into the Donbas:

KyivPride invades eastern Ukraine. The KyivPride: going east project aimed at mobilizing the LGBT+ community in Donbas started in May. In other words, let’s make Donbas queer. All the details on our Instagram and Facebook pages!

The militaristic language of gay goose-stepping (“invades,” “mobilizing”) moronically frames U.S. policy in the region as a homosexual invasion of eastern Ukraine—precisely one of the chief justifications given by Putin for invading it heterosexually himself a few months later. How kind of USAID to write Putin’s own propaganda for him. I can’t wait to see what happens when Biden’s White House tries to make Mecca queer, too.

Putin the Boot In
Russia’s leaders are habitually portrayed in the West as bigoted liars on such subjects, as when Putin’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov incorrectly claimed in 2021 that Western schools routinely taught pupils “Jesus Christ was bisexual,” something apparently based on a TikTok clip of an Australian toddler joking to his gay activist mother that his teacher had told him Jesus was “bi and nonbinary,” as “He wears a dress and He’s a man.” Actually the kid had been taught no such thing, but the fact that a 4-year-old knew what words like “bi” and “nonbinary” meant rather makes Lavrov’s wider point for him anyway, no?

A current case before British courts concerns a London school being sued by a black Christian parent over its alleged attempts to groom her 5-year-old son into going all Donbas in the assembly hall by forcing him to participate in an infant gay-parade in the name of “totalitolerance.” On the school’s website once proudly stood a photo of a little girl of 5 or 6 holding a poorly spelled placard she had written following a lesson about Martin Luther King: “I have a dreem if bois cood go to the saim toilet as gerls.”

So, toddlers in Western schools might not precisely be being told Jesus was bi, but some do appear to be being taught MLK was a trans rights campaigner. Lavrov’s specific lie thus tells a generic truth. This places Ukrainians in an invidious position. Obviously, they want to win their war against Mad Vlad. But if and when they do, they’ll need vast sums of Marshall Plan-style aid from the West for reconstruction. And when it does come their way from Pervy Uncle Sam and the Bum-Boys of Brussels and Lesbos of London, you can bet it will come with compulsory rainbow-colored strings attached.

I have zero sympathy for Putin’s attempts to physically invade Ukraine. But then, I also have zero sympathy for the likes of USAID’s (or should that be USAIDS?) attempts to invade it morally, politically, spiritually, and sexually, either. Is it too much to hope that Putin might lose one war in the region miserably and win the other in triumph?
