Though crafty, Obama is not particularly intelligent. Whatever schools he graduated and whatever degrees he holds do not signify with me.

In 1900 the Ivy League meant membership in a handful of institutions offering world-class education. But after Carnegie’s libraries, Dr. Eliot’s Five Foot Shelf, several hundred collegiate knockoffs in towns of every size, and now the Internet, any difference between a motivated student at Iowa State and one at Columbia is insignificant at best. An elite diploma no longer means one is more intelligent, only unwise enough to spend three times the price for the same education.

Obama was supposedly editor of the Harvard Law Review by dint of a compromise choice, so whenever I hear anyone speak reverently of his postgraduate degree it is difficult to stifle a belly laugh. A reasonably trained chimp with $100,000 to burn could make it through law school and graduate at the top of his class if he aped everything his professors said. Their so-called Socratic method is as dead as the philosopher himself.

I judge a man on his ideas, and Obama doesn’t seem to have any, at least not of his own conception.

All of which isn’t a capital offense even as he shoves legislation under the Capitol dome. Moreover, being ordinary doesn’t make one a moron. For all my criticism I do not believe Obama is stupid, but I do believe he plays the fool.

As Barry plays dumb and his family vacations everywhere under the sun, we abide. This is our country and whatever he does, or allows to be done in his name, it is for us to live here under his laws. Meanwhile, he says he knows not about naught and we acquiesce in the lie.
