As for Mr. Siddique and what he regards as a career blighted by the “appallingly bad and boring” teaching he received at Oxford, I wonder if he considers that quite a few of the megarich corporate lawyers in whose company he seems to believe he properly belongs may themselves have failed to get a first-class degree, but refused to let this failure stand in the way of achieving their ambition.
The idea that you should take this sort of grievance as far as a lawsuit is preposterous. Be that as it may, I hope he does take his case to the courts so that the judge, who may or may not have gotten a first himself, can tell him to be his age and stop behaving like an ass.
