Isn”t that why these commissions exist”because our justice system is too fair?
Due process is too lugubrious for these people. They”re not qualified lawyers. They”re just random bureaucrats and they don”t want to have to answer to the standards we”ve been improving since the Magna Carta. In Canada and America we would rather let a guilty person go free than discredit the law. To these HRCs, it’s the opposite. They”d rather prosecute an innocent man than follow the rules. They just keep changing the rules to fit their own agenda. They will invent hatred just so they can prosecute it.
When I was a teenager, Nazi skinheads were a big thing. They were everywhere and I remember thinking back then that it seemed unusual a group of white teenagers would care so much about Jews and blacks in a country where there were barely any of either. I remember you telling me the government was a huge part of the Nazi movement back then and now it all makes sense.
Back in the 80s, CSIS (Canada’s CIA) were posing as white supremacists and starting organizations that ended up being very successful. There were probably more government Nazis than there were real Nazis and they ended up creating a movement.
They continued to do this for years. CHRC bureaucrats went on racist message boards and often left more comments than were there naturally.
You see this in the states with all these quotes taken out of context to prove racism exists. Kenan Thompson says he’s frustrated how few black women are ready when they do auditions for SNL and the headline becomes, “Kenan Thompson Says Black Women Aren”t Funny.”
It’s a business, a government business. And once those start, they have to grow bigger every year. It’s their nature.
Can we end this on some optimism? I”m getting depressed.
Well, first of all, I won. I fought them to the end and won. Donations paid for my legal fees, and besides the cost to the taxpayer for their side, it was a win. They don”t bother me anymore and they won”t bother you if you stand up to them. This goes for any bully trying to censor you. All it takes is one punch to the nose and they leave you alone.
We”ve also changed the laws. The CHRC had a ridiculous provision called Section 13, which said it was illegal to publish anything that is “likely to expose a person to hatred or contempt.”
That includes hate facts.
Yes, if someone was offended by it or it could possibly be construed as negative about a group, it was illegal. You could prosecute Schindler’s List under the provision because it promoted a negative view of Germans. I was charged with it and so was Mark Steyn because he wrote an article in Maclean’s Magazine criticizing Islam. We fought it and they abolished the law on a federal level.
So the moral of the story is, fight back.
It’s not easy but doing the right thing rarely is.
UPDATE: Yesterday Ezra Levant was charged $80,000 for calling someone anti-Semitic.
