Not that any of this epistemology matters to the diversity crowd. Their goal is power, and that they are motivated by status envy is evident from the fact that nobody cares about “racial parity” and “gender parity” when it comes to blue-collar jobs. Indeed, we never find feminists waxing indignant about why there are not enough women getting up at 3 a.m. to repair broken electrical wires in rainy weather. When a pathetically inept figure such as Michael Eric Dyson—a star academic only because he is black—complains of “white privilege” while masochistic white leftists look on in rapture, he does not do so because he wants more blacks to get jobs in construction and in landscaping.

If we Americans don’t stay competitive, David Goldman has warned, Chinese may become a synonym for “boss.” The Chinese, a ruthlessly shrewd people, are openly disdainful of our progressive decadence, and it is quite unthinkable that they would ever undermine their own interests by means of “implicit bias,” “microaggressions,” “toxic masculinity,” “phallogocentrism,” and the like delusions.

Diversity’s corruption of science, if it is allowed to go far enough, may eventually entail a lesser role for America on the world stage. Certainly, academia is full of people who know the diversity agenda is not intellectually respectable, and that it does not really aim at achieving fairness. The problem is that most academics are cowards, while stopping this madness requires principled acts of will. People who have something to lose must take a stand. Yet where are they?
