I may be giving too much credit to Anna and Victoria and other such frilly people, but they do seem to count among those who argue that in order to eliminate prejudice, Christianity and the traditional patriarchal family have to be destroyed. Transgender bathrooms are suddenly a more important fight than retaining a Christian society or the family in general. Burying a country’s history and customs, subjecting the people to a pseudo-European mega-state, and accepting social decay as the price of tolerance are what made Brexit possible. The faceless men against Brexit are still at work, which means they still don’t get it. People have souls, and being manipulated by soulless and godless bureaucrats works up to a point.

The reason the Anna Wintours of this world are honored by the soulless bureaucrats who rule us is because the former see sexism, nationalism, racism, and ignorance behind white Christianity. Islamophobia is on a par with homophobia, and nothing can be worse than not agreeing with gay marriage. A people who feel culturally dispossessed are not the kind who will ever appear in Vogue. One hundred years ago, Marx and Freud labeled prejudice the key component of Western culture. Tolerance is today’s key to success. Tolerance for everything but things like smokers, Christians, and cops, that is.

Have I managed in some small way to help you understand why it’s voguish to honor people like Beckham and Wintour and ignore men like Nigel and Johnny? We can vote and write all we want for the unsung heroes of our time, but it’s the chic and the superficial and supercilious who always win the silly awards in the end. And at times the faceless ones do get it right. What would England be without her greatest aristocrat, Philip Green, were he to be deprived of his knighthood?
