Some of you may remember my periodic incursions into this delightful online magazine—mostly in the forms of excerpts from my books about the Christian liturgical year, peppered with political asides and squirrel recipes. Now, the good Taki and his proconsul, Richard Spencer, have been kind enough to invite me on as a 5x weekly blogger. I look forward to joining the honored ranks of Raimondo, Richert, Gottfried and Foy as a regular contributor to the Taki blogroll. Instead of vital information about (for instance) the origins of Candlemas, I have been asked to comment on politics and popular culture—so expect from me rather more pointed, less theological fare. As a weary editor once said to me, “Save that for your books.”
