Almost begrudgingly, I remain a conservative despite the rampant hypocrisy, ineptness and illogic of many who subscribe to the label. I also remain a conservative because no matter how stupid it gets, liberalism is infinitely dumber. I’m not talking about thoughtful men of the Left like consumer advocate Ralph Nader, Congressman Dennis Kucinich or author Gore Vidal, whose principled opposition to the status quo and independence of mind distinguishes them from the rest of the liberal pack. I’m talking about Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. I’m talking about Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden. I’m talking about Barack Obama and his worshippers, whose blind faith in the healing power of their president and his party knows no bounds.
